Preparing tests |
The intention of a test should be clear to everyone sitting for it. It is important to have legible text and understandable graphics. Fancy layout and design are irrelevant. |
Any word processing software you are familiar with is probably adequate for the task. Some subjects require diagrams and photographs, in which case you will need to use graphics software or a photo editing program. Ultimately, the test will be photocopied or duplicated on a simple copier. Select a printer that will produce a neat, black-and-white copy. Any model in the EPSON Stylus series is a good choice. |
Use fonts that are legible. Use different fonts for the headings and the text of the questions. Anticipate some image loss in charts and images that will be photocopied or printed. Make sure that the output from the printer is absolutely clear. |
